Bio/Profile: Real.  Gospel.  Bluegrass.  As simply as we can define it, that's the music of Chestnut Ridge.  Our audience?  Anyone who enjoys music....from nursing homes to coffeehouses to churches, we just like making music together....so please don't mind us if we bust out laughing in the middle of a song....and we won't mind if you decide to sing along. The all gospel group, Chestnut Ridge, is from the Knox County area and have been playing together for about six years. Its members include: Jeanell Branstool - mandolin and vocals; Jim Dunfee - guitar and vocals; Mickey Holback - banjo and vocals; John White - Dobro, and Duane Hardesty - Bass.

They enjoy playing for various churches, extended care facilities, community gatherings, festivals, fundraisers, and family events.  They have played at the Dan Emmett Festival and several “First Friday” events in Mount Vernon and Coshocton, Ohio, and in the local restaurants Sips and Peggy Sue’s.  They have also had the privilege of playing at the Relay for Life event in Newcomerstown.  The Group has 3 CDs available.  We are looking forward to our new recording in the fall of 2011!
